The Elmhurst Public Library is pleased to offer two collections of downloadable books that can be accessed from the comfort of your home or office 24/7. We have thousands of titles to choose from including fiction, non-fiction, kids’ books, and classics. These books can be downloaded to your computer, MP3 player, eBook Reader, Smartphone or PDA device. All books are automatically returned so you incur no late fees!

We currently have access to two separate catalogs for these digital materials. Please read about each catalog below and consider going through the product tutorials before getting started.

Note that you must have an Elmhurst Public Library card to use either service. If you have any questions, please call the Information Desk at 630-279-8696 or refer to each service's Help page.

NOW COMPATIBLE WITH KINDLES!

• Compatible with PC and Mac computers.
• Audiobooks and eBooks are available.
• OverDrive Media Console, a software available through the MyMediaMall site, must be installed before audio downloads and transfers are possible.
• Adobe Digital Editions is required for eBook downloads and transfers.
• Kindles users do not need to download any software.
• Checkout information:
  • Audiobooks = 2 weeks
  • eBooks = 2 weeks
  • Video = 1 week
  • 5 item checkout limit
